Website Design
For The Point Magazine, an up-and-comming Chicago yearly periodical, I created a total redesign of their previous design, implementing tons of modern web features and backend enhancements. A major challenge on the project was optimizing their installation of wordpress to handle the 1000+ visitors on peak days.
(2009-2010)
For the University of Chicago Pride Week 2010, I created a simple little page detailing events and media. I used jquery and a couple of web services (twitter and google calendar) extensively to add some dynamics to what would otherwise be a very static page.
(2010)
The University of Chicago's local ACLU chapter needed a website to advertise their upcomming events and promote discussion amongst the University community.
(2009)
Salisbury, a member of the housing system at UChicago, I created an online meeting place where events, photographs, and other house-related media can be storehoused and shared.
(2009)
The Ashland High School theatre department wanted a website where students could check for upcoming events, get schedules and contact lists, and buy tickets. Above all, they wanted simplicity and ease of use in any considered design. You can check out its current status here.
The Chautauqua Poets and Writers Foundation needed a website to host information about their upcoming events, and provide additional information about their authors and writers series. You can check it out here.
If you'd like me to design your website, I'd be glad to negotiate- just drop me a line from the contact page.
